Light keeper, holding the torch of hope,
shine.. with your gift.. your message.
To brighten the corners of the world
with the glow of understanding and peace.
For it is entrusted to us to carry
this torch ever so strongly and bravely,
never deterring from the task at hand.
It is within our power to reach out and
touch the minds of those in need,
to sparkle the imagination of children.
lighting the way with prayer and comfort,
and seeking out the darkness and pain.
Counter the hate with love and kindness,
soothe the pain and heal the person within.
For in any darkness there is always
a light keeper to show the way.
Grasp the flame strongly,
Oh Keeper of light, take it deep within you,
and this incandescence of the soul
will soon grow into honor, courage,
love and finally truth.
And within truth, comes strength,
and with strength, healing is possible.
And with healing, comes forgiveness.
Forgiveness shines it's own glory..
So take the light, and pass it to another.
And one at a time, slowly, but surely
the nature of humanity will be brightened.
We will all become 'Keepers of light'
